Eligibility Criteria

Provide continuous operation at least 12 hours per day, 7 days a week, including holidays, subject to availability of fuel. If fuel is not available, the business shall post on the premises the location of the nearest available source
Provide vehicle services including fuel, oil, air, and water
Provide modern restroom facilities, drinking water, and public access to a telephone for emergency purposes or be located on the same property, within walking distance, as a business providing these items. This other business shall either be under the same ownership or the services shall be provided under a contractual agreement
Maximum distance of service: 3 mile increments up to 15 miles (except within the vicinity of the Kansas City, Wichita, and Topeka metropolitan areas where the maximum remains 3 miles)

Provide continuous operation at least 10 hours per day, 6 days a week, with a minimum seating capacity of 20 people. Outdoor seating may be considered to reach the minimum seating capacity
Food establishments within malls must have an outside entrance and on premise signing visible to the traveling public
Provide modern restroom facilities, drinking water, and public access to a telephone for emergency purposes.
Maximum distance of service: 3 mile increments up to 15 miles (except within the vicinity of the Kansas City, Wichita, and Topeka metropolitan areas where the maximum remains 3 miles)

Provide staff availability for check-in 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year
Provide a minimum of 10 units, each including a bathroom and sleeping facilities to accommodate at least 2 persons and 1 parking stall per unit
Provide public access to a telephone for emergency purposes
Maximum distance of service: 3 mile increments up to 15 miles (except within the vicinity of the Kansas City, Wichita, and Topeka metropolitan areas where the maximum remains 3 miles)

Provide a minimum of 20 spaces to accommodate camping tents, travel trailers, and/or motorized campers
Provide modern restroom facilities, drinking water, and public access to a telephone for emergency purposes
Provide a sanitary disposal system for travel trailers and/or motorized campers
Maximum distance of service: 6 miles up to 15 miles (except within the vicinity of the Kansas City, Wichita, and Topeka metropolitan areas where the maximum remains 6 miles)

Attractions requesting Attraction signing must apply through the Department of Commerce, Tourism Division, who evaluates the attraction and determines the eligibility for signage
Provide continuous operation for a minimum of 8 consecutive weeks, 6 hours per day, 5 days per week, 1 of which must be a Saturday or Sunday, excluding holidays
Provide sufficient staff to allow for a significant experience for the traveling motorist for amusement, historical, cultural, or leisure activities
Provide modern restroom facilities, drinking water, and public access to a telephone for emergency purposes
Provide for parking on site or have available parking for 10 vehicles or whatever is suitable for the specific attraction within 2 blocks of the attraction. Bus parking must also be available
Attraction must have an annual attendance of 2,000 visitors
Provide clearly for display any general admission charges at the place of entry to the attraction

All eligible establishments may not discriminate on the basis of color, religion, sex, nationality or creed
All eligible establishments must comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act requirements
All eligible establishments must be appropriately licensed as required by Kansas law and comply with all other appropriate federal and State of Kansas laws and regulations
